II. Training the stems
A stem pulled skyward sings sharper; one trained toward the evening window drifts right of ear. Prune without mercy — the compost remembers every rhythm.
III. On rain
Rain is the garden’s editor. It rusts some steps shut and oils others open. Purists cover their reels; the wise leave them out and transcribe what the storm writes.
IV. The phonograph
One tap of the ruby stylus engraves whatever the wind is playing. Carry the wax cylinder home, or post the garden’s coordinates to a friend — their bed will bloom exactly as yours stood.
